“Nonsense Mouth” in Long Beach Post

Esther Kang interviewed us for a beautiful piece in The Long Beach Post in which we tried to articulate the process behind this piece, and my attempt at enacting a spiritual transformation through these music video “art rituals.” The focus is on the heroine’s journey, that internal counterpart to the hero’s journey. I love Tanya Rubenstein’s discussion of incorporating both the external action of the “hero’s journey” and the internal process of the “heroine’s journey” in all good storytelling… here’s a great resource if you want to dive even deeper!
